Welcome to Discoveries
Discoveries is the before and after school club care for all year groups in school including early years. The school club works alongside the school to provide the best care for all children.
Discoveries is an area of fun, games and challenges to keep the children entertained until home time. Our dedicated team have expert knowledge in running activities from sports, crafts and general play. We offer every child opportunities to join in activities or have some free time to play their own games. Many students take the time to complete homework where the staff can offer help.
We offer all students a snack on a morning for breakfast, where we have a range of foods from cereals, yoghurts, fruits, toast and bagels. Discoveries after school snack is prepared by the school kitchen staff. We offer a snack every day, including two hot meals per week plus a variety of fruits. Our menu can be found on the entrance doors.
The club offers care for up to 45 children.
Breakfast
7:30am - 8:50am when school starts
After School
Mon to Thurs: 3:15pm - 6:00pm (3pm for nursery children)
Friday: 3:15pm - 5:30pm
The club runs only in school term time, excluding training days.
Fees for morning session (2023/24):
£7.00 per session from 7:30am including breakfast
£4.50 per session from 8:00am including breakfast
£2.50 per session from 8:30am not including breakfast.
Fees for 3.15pm to 6.00pm (2023/24):
£11.00 per session as part of term booking payment in advance
£11.00 per ad hoc session. (Depending on availability, please request at least 48 hours before hand).
Please be aware late pick up fees apply £4 per 10 minutes.
Each child must have completed a Booking, Registration Form, Terms & Conditions form and paid one-off £10 admin fee. (Please see below)
Parents can use their childcare voucher system to pay for their childcare, further details are available on application. Parents can pay fees using Parent Pay or the Government Tax-Fee Scheme. A mixture of methods is also acceptable.

Useful Tips
Tania will have her mobile phone with her Tania will have her mobile phone with her during the Discoveries sessions, so if you need to contact her to inform her of any late pickups, different collection instructions or any other urgent issue that will affect your child in that session, please use the mobile phone. If she does not answer, it is because she is busy, so please either send a text or call the main school office. Tania will not answer the phone or reply to emails between 9am – 2.45pm, as she does not work during these hours. You will need to call the main school office during this time, or you can text or email Tania and she will pick it up when she is next working.
