Full time Teaching Assistant
Are you a compassionate and dedicated individual with a passion for helping children learn and grow? We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time Teaching Assistant to join our supportive team at Roundhay St John's Primary School.
We are looking for someone to work term time only plus 5 training days.
Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., 30 min unpaid break, providing essential support to our students and teachers. The role is varied and rewarding, combining general classroom assistance with dedicated one-on-one support for specific children, some of whom have additional needs.
Your responsibilities will include:
● Supporting the class teacher with daily activities and classroom management.
● Working closely with individual students or small groups to help them with their
learning.
● Providing tailored one-on-one support for children with special educational needs.
● Assisting with the preparation of learning materials and creating a positive,
inclusive environment.
We are seeking a candidate who is patient, adaptable, and a great communicator. Previous experience in a school setting is a plus, but we welcome applications from anyone with the right attitude and a genuine commitment to making a difference in a child's education.

Part Time Teaching Assistant & After School Club Playworker
Are you passionate about supporting children's learning and development? We're looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated individual to join our friendly school team.
This is a dual role, combining the responsibilities of a Teaching Assistant and an After School Club Assistant. The ideal candidate will be flexible, patient, and have a positive attitude toward working with young people.
Responsibilities:
● Teaching Assistant: Support the class teacher with daily tasks, including preparing classroom materials, working with small groups of students, and
providing one-on-one support to ensure all children can access the curriculum.
● After School Club Assistant: Supervise and engage with children in our after school club, helping to create a safe, fun, and stimulating environment. This includes leading or assisting with activities, helping with homework, and ensuring the well-being of all children in your care.
Hours:
● Teaching Assistant: Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
● After School Club: Tuesday to Thursday, 2:45 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.
The successful candidate will have:
● Experience working with children in a school or similar setting.
● A good understanding of child development and learning.
● Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
● A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Roundhay St John's C of E Primary School is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Year 4 Class Teacher to join our team, working three days a week.

Roles and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for fulfilling the professional duties of a Class Teacher in accordance with the school's aims, policies, and the Teachers' Standards. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Teaching and Learning: Planning, preparing, and delivering engaging and high-quality lessons to a Year 4 class for three days a week, ensuring all pupils make excellent progress.
- Assessment: Accurately assessing, recording, and reporting on the development, progress and attainment of pupils.
- Curriculum: Contributing to the development and implementation of the school curriculum, focusing on creating a stimulating learning environment.
- Pastoral Care: Being responsible for the pastoral care and well-being of all pupils in the class, fostering a positive classroom atmosphere, and managing behaviour effectively in line with school policy.
- Collaboration: Working collaboratively with the parallel class teacher, other staff, parents, and carers to support pupil learning and school development.
- Additional Responsibility: A lead role for Science across the school is available for a suitably qualified and passionate candidate, but this is not essential. Please indicate your interest and experience in your application.
